Univision Communications Inc. plans to open two specialty retail stores in early 2015 at the newly redesigned Terminal 2 of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).Westfield is remodeling the terminal while it continues to serve 5.5 million passengers a year, and it is expected to be completed in 2015 with new shopping and dining options that will open in phases. This is the first award given to Paradies in Los Angeles, and Univision shops are the first to be opened in the US.”Our first experience with stores of the brand in the Los Angeles International Airport and an industry leader like Paradies says a lot about our growth and the affinity to the brand in the largest Hispanic market in the US,” Rick Alessandri, VP senior of Business Development, at Univision Communications Inc, said.Both Univision stores offer a variety of products, including snacks and drinks representing Latin America, as well as products and local, national and international news branded as Univision. Each store will also offer original programming in English and Spanish all day on big screens, including Noticiero Univision.
